We’re fortunate to make games and tell stories in some iconic settings, and we’re enormously appreciative of the fans around the world who share our enthusiasm. But part of how we get the chance to work with other partners’ intellectual property is that we’re diligent in protecting it, alongside our own work.
With that in mind, we ask for your cooperation in adhering to the below guidelines regarding Fan Art and Merchandise related to Dire Wolf games:
Personal Use Only
-
Sale or distribution of proprietary art, assets, logos, character design, component art, iconography, or derivative or manipulated versions thereof is prohibited.
-
This includes but is not limited to apparel, merchandise, premium game components, art, miniatures, and other products.
Community Content
-
The above restrictions do not include non-commercial personal use, or use in the creation of digital player-facing content directly connected to discussion of related games.
-
This includes streaming, written web content, gameplay or strategy videos, and related social media posting to promote your content.
-
Note: Even if you monetize your content through subscription, advertising, affiliate revenue or similar, as long as the content you’re producing is for the wider community and related to our games, it is permissible.
Our hope here is to balance our requirements to protect our and our partners’ intellectual property against creators’ needs to confidently share content arising from engaging with our games.
As a general guideline: we’d love to help you share your thoughts and experiences related to playing our games, but we need to restrict the unauthorized and unlicensed sale of goods derived from protected IP.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to us at Support@DireWolfDigital.com
